About Us
Formerly known as Sioux Trails, Southern Minnesota Behavioral Health began providing therapy services in 1966.
About Us
We offer an array of behavioral health programs in Minnesota, providing quality services delivered by a skilled staff of trained behavioral health professionals. Our agency is a non-profit, mental health clinic. The Center receives funding from county contracts, private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare, state and private grants, and contracts with other community agencies. Our agency collaborates with local counties, hospitals, and other service organizations to provide quality client services to residents.
Services are available in two communities, and when appropriate, in clients’ home, worksite, school, or community. We strive to create partnerships for recovery, independence, and growth for people with mental health. Our services are integrated to serve the whole person and are culturally sensitive, trauma informed and available for the deaf and hearing impaired.
Awards
Southern Minnesota Behavioral Health received the 2007 Family Friendly Award from the Minnesota Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. This award is given to those organizations that demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to the needs of employees and their families in the area of child care, job sharing, nondiscrimination, and investment in their communities.
